Our work and our mission is urgent and our team is tirelessly working to secure funding so we can continue and expand our work. The Club needed North Texas Giving Tuesday Now, and we saw success. The community gave, our staff and their families gave, you gave – truly, the spirit of generosity is alive!
I was particularly moved by the commitment our Board of Directors showed on Tuesday. They made significant financial contributions, some of them for the second and third time. Several of our Board members created their own personal fundraising pages with moving words urging their friends and family to come alongside our mission work.
“I don’t have the right words for what is being experienced these days, but this is truth: the ripple effect of giving exponentiates itself, both internally to the giver and externally to the receiver (and beyond). Multiplied. As a Board Member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County, I have seen first hand the DIRECT impact this organization makes to over 25,000 kids in North Texas.” – Dana Tomechko
“The Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County provided the safe haven and academic/mentoring support that I needed during my formative years in the 1980s. Today, Boys and Girls Clubs in Tarrant County and nationwide still provide a broad range of programs – education and leadership development, for example – to help youth. The “club” experience helped me, and I know the experience continues to help others. THAT’S ONE REASON WHY I GIVE!” – Dr. Sean Madison
A truly global threat like COVID-19 affects every person on the planet, and it presents an opportunity to come together as a global community. BGCGTC youth development experts have put together resources to keep kids’ minds and bodies active. The Club needs to secure operating gifts to fund staff salaries and distance technologies for kids who need it most! Let’s do this!” – Justin Rutledge
These are just a few examples. I think there is something especially powerful about people not only giving to the Club, but urging others in the circle to do this as well. We asked for support, and they showed up.
We’re in this together,
