Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County Expands to Denton County

FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov 30, 2022 Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County (BGCGTC) held an inaugural event to celebrate service expansion to Denton County. Initial services include the Mobile Clubhouse which is a youth development experience with activities tailored towards outcomes in academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character & leadership.

Both Denton County Deputy Constable, Braylon Miller, and BGCGTC’s Mathew Sinclair shared their own Boys & Girls Clubs experiences. Others in attendance included Denton County Commissioners Bobbie Mitchell, Ryan Williams, and Ron Marchant along with many other notable elected officials, school, community, and business leaders.

“Our mission is to enable all youth to reach their full potential, and our passion in giving kids the courage to dream,” said BGCGTC CEO & President, Daphne Barlow Stigliano. “With an ever-increasing youth population in our region, we are fully committed to making sustainable progress towards serving additional youth that need us most.”

Denton County is one of the nation’s fastest growing counties and was largest in the nation without a Boys & Girls Club in 2021. BGCGTC hosted five community sessions that summarized a gap in needed youth development support in Denton County as the organization detailed plans for expansion. Capital support is still needed to purchase additional vehicles and operating funds to sustain core programming.
